Audition Information


You don't have to be Jewish to love Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids!

Auditions are open to everyone. You do not have to be Jewish to audition or get involved with Jewish Theatre. In fact, most of our actors and volunteers are of other faiths. No previous theatre experience is required.

2016-17 Schedule

All auditions are held at Spectrum Theatre, 160 Fountain St. NE on the campus of Grand Rapids Community College, unless otherwise noted. Sunday auditions at 2 p.m., Monday night at 7 p.m. Contact our administrator, Kathy Boylon, for information on obtaining scripts prior to the audition.

BRILL, by David Wells
Directed by Jason Marlett
Show Dates: September 7-18, 2016
Audition Dates: Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. and Monday August 1, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Spectrum Theater.
Cast Needed: 

1 Woman and 1 Man; ages are not important although the man should be somewhat older than the woman. Extra points for the man if he can play piano and extra points for the woman if she can play guitar.


IRENA'S VOW, by Dan Gordon

Show Dates: January 12-22, 2017
Audition Dates: Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. and Monday, November 7, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Spectrum Theater.
Cast Needed: 

5 women, 6 men. Some doubling. Various ages.


SENIORS OF THE SAHARA, by Barbara Pease Weber

Show Dates: May 18-28, 2017
Audition Dates: Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. and Monday, April 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Spectrum Theatre.​

3 or 4 men (policeman/men, robber, Genie (older); 4 women (older)
